Rebecca Ann Perkins

The earthly life of Rebecca Ann Perkins (Becky) transitioned to her eternal one on Sunday morning, March 10, at St. Dominic's Hospital. For the past two years, she has resided at the Arbor full care facility of The Orchard, valiantly dealing with complications of a stroke and other critical health issues.

Linda McCluney Anglin

Memorial services were held March 9 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland for Linda McCluney Anglin. Mrs. Anglin passed away peacefully March 5 at the age of 89. She is survived by her husband, Joe V.

Joe Howell Seale

Joe Howell Seale passed away in Alpharetta, Ga. February 15 at the age of 67. Joe was born and raised in Jackson, where he and his family owned Seale-Lily Ice Cream Company.

Margaret Verner McKie

Margaret “Peggy” Verner McKie of Jackson and Greenville passed away February 17, surrounded by her loved ones. Peggy was born August 3, 1935, in Jackson, to Margaret Hogue Verner and Dr. Guy Verner.  She was graduated from Central High School in 1954 and attended the University of Alabama.



Two area high schools have started what will be an annual competition to raise money for waterfowl conservation.
