William Sherman Sampson Jr.

William Sherman Sampson Jr., 75, died unexpectedly Saturday July 13, 2019 at his home near Learned, MS. Bill was the first of 5 children in is family and was born at Fort Ft McClellan in Alabama July 2, 1944. Bill grew up in Jackson, MS and attended the University of Mississippi. He was an avid fan of Ole Miss football his entire life.

Claude Eugene (Gene) McRoberts, Jr. died on July 4, 2019, at 8:00 A.M. Services were held Monday, July 8 at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. Officiating the service include his son, Reverend Claude McRoberts III, Reverend Wiley Lowry, and Reverend Brister Ware.

Hattiesburg, MS - Dr. Samuel Kimble Love, MD died June 29, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. Memorial Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M. at the church.

Jimmy Ray Beard, 84, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died June 30, 2019, at his home in Ridgeland, Mississippi due to complications of heart disease.

Billye Haskins Dallas, 89, of Ridgeland, Mississippi, passed away June 15, 2019. Visitation is on Tuesday June 18, 2019 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony- Parkway, Madison, Mississippi.


Norman Albert Mott, Jr.

Norman Albert Mott, Jr., retired third generation Publisher and Editor of The Yazoo City Herald, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Mott had been an independent resident of The Orchard in Ridgeland, MS since 2012.
