Ballet Mississippi’s Ballet and Blues 2026 will celebrate the arts at the organization’s premier annual fundraising event on Friday, February 27 at The Plant Venue, located at 133 Commerce Park Dr. The night will begin with an exclusive Platinum Tier Preview Party from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the main event at 7. Hosted by the board of trustees and executive director, Ballet and Blues honors 62 years of Ballet Mississippi’s impact on the cultural life of the state, through performances, professional training for young dancers, and a commitment to education, outreach, and audience development. Proceeds from the event directly support Ballet Mississippi’s dancers, productions, and mission-driven programming. Ballet and Blues 2026 will feature food, specialty cocktails, a live band, and a silent auction. Preparing for the fundraiser are (from left) Karen Gilder, Barry Plunkett, Mary Helen Bowen, Heather Wise, Prentiss Franklin, Claire Ridgway, and Lynn Wentworth.
