More than one in four Americans suffer from a bone and joint related injury or impairment, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. And these numbers significantly increase along with age, obesity, and sports activity.

Seeking high quality care from a physician who will not only listen to your situation, but will also work with you to determine the plan of care that you are most comfortable with, is essential for positive outcomes and an effective recovery process.

Fortunately, you have access to bone and joint care just like this in the Jackson area. Capital Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center treats each patient as an individual and their physicians take time to educate patients about their options. Their professional group of nine highly-trained orthopedic surgeons pride themselves on providing personable, compassionate, and professional care to each patient.

“We feel extremely privileged to be the orthopedic provider of choice for so many families in the Central Mississippi area. We always appreciate the trust placed in our team as we help patients heal and get back to an active lifestyle,” said Jeff Bedford, Capital Orthopaedic’s CEO. “We are looking forward to positive changes and growth that will allow us to better serve our community for years to come.”

The physicians at Capital treat patients of all ages with all different types of bone and joint related injuries and issues, including knees, hips, feet, ankles, shoulders, elbows, hands, and wrists.

They have experienced significant growth over the past few years. In order to continue providing the level of service their patients have come to expect, they are expanding their Flowood operation. Construction is underway for a state-of-the-art facility that is expected to open in the second half of 2018. Capital Orthopaedic currently has clinics in Flowood and Madison, and satellite operations in Kosciusko, Forest, and Magee.

The group recently welcomed Dr. Tal Hendrix to the practice. He grew up in the Jackson area and is excited to be returning here to give back to his community. Dr. Hendrix received specialized training in the area of sports medicine before returning to Jackson to begin his practice.
