Mary Parker Davidson and Ryan Douglas Kirchhoff were married on March 1 in Hope Town, Bahamas. The ceremony took place on the beach at Coconut Grove, surrounded by family and friends.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Frederick Davidson of Ridgeland. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Frederick Davidson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Montie Clayton Lambert. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Charles Kirchhoff of Jacksonville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Kirchhoff and Terry Douglas Allen and the late John Lanier Allen Jr.
The wedding weekend began with a beach welcome party at Sea Spray Resort and Marina, where guests gathered for cocktails and live island music. On Friday, a bridal brunch was held at the Hope Town Inn and Marina, followed by a rehearsal dinner that evening at the Shangri La House.
The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s uncle, John Lee Davidson, who read from a family Bible that once belonged to his mother, the bride’s late grandmother. The bride wore an ivory Moroccan silk gown featuring a draped strapless neckline and column silhouette and was finished with a cathedral veil of re-embroidered lace appliqué.
Her hand-tied bouquet included orchids, roses, peonies, anthuriums, and hydrangeas in shades of white, peach, pink, and green. The wedding design featured a soft coastal palette of muted blue greens, sun-washed yellows, and touches of pink, complementing the natural beauty of the island setting.
Maid of honor was Alexis Elizabeth Brantley. Bridesmaid was Lanier Morgan Kirchhoff, sister of the bridegroom. The best man was Tanner McMath Hudson, and groomsman was John Clayton Davidson, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the Abaco Inn for a reception and dinner overlooking the ocean. The setting featured organic florals, string lights, and a wedding cake adorned with pink orchids. Guests danced to music by the Bahamian band Simplicity. The celebration then continued at On Da Beach Bar, a local favorite.
The couple now makes their home in Neptune Beach, Fla.
