Diane Legg Graham, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, in Ridgeland, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Chapel of the Resurrection, Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison.
Born on February 3, 1960, in Gainesville, Diane's journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith and dedication to family. Her family settled in Clinton, where Diane would eventually become a proud graduate of Clinton High School and Mississippi College. She taught school for many years, shaping young minds with her exceptional teaching ability and radiant smile, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her students. In a professional pivot, Diane later embraced a decade-long career as a realtor. Her caring nature and keen insight into people's needs made her exceptional in this role, and she built lasting relationships with her clients and colleagues alike.
Diane's commitment to her Christian faith was as profound as it was inspiring. She was deeply involved in various Baptist churches, where she found strength and solace in fellowship, service, and singing in the choir. Her faith was her compass, guiding her through life's storms and joyous celebrations. Family was the cornerstone of Diane's world. Her heart found its greatest joy in laughter and family life shared with her beloved daughters and husband, Clinton. She especially loved precious time spent with her grandchildren. For Diane, every family gathering was a treasure, each memory a keepsake to hold close. Diane also enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, and traveling. Together with Clinton, she traversed the country, with each trip weaving new threads into the rich tapestry of their shared life.
Diane's legacy is one of compassion, joy, and an unyielding zest for life. Her kind spirit, caring heart, and fun-loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell, we celebrate the light she brought into this world and the gentle touch she left on the hearts of many. Diane is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Legg, and brother, David Legg. Diane is remembered by her husband, Clinton Graham of Madison; daughters, Emily Jeter and her husband, Brett, of Madison, Molly Sopoco and her husband, Christian, of Dallas, and Carrie Taylor and her husband, Johnny, of Horn Lake; and grandchildren, James Jeter, Lilah Jeter, Annie Jeter, John Elliot Taylor, and Penelope Sopoco. She is also survived by her father, John Legg of Madison; sister, Linda Nelson and her husband, Karl, of Perry, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Judy Legg of Brandon.
