Jackson murder rate down

It’s great news that Jackson’s murder rate is tracking at about half what it was last year, down to 30 for the first five months of 2025 compared to 51 in the same period of the previous year. Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade attributes this to partnerships with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies across the metro area.
