Spring is the perfect time of year to enjoy outside entertaining with friends. I did just that and invited the Dining Dames cooking group onto my patio for a Spring Brunch. I used a colorful table runner with bold colorful pillows in the chairs and fresh flowers as the centerpiece. It was a beautiful cool day.

We are fortunate to attend a small church with a tight-knit congregation. Our children’s committee hosts a baby shower for each expectant family in our church and invites the entire congregation. The showers have developed into a light lunch immediately following Sunday morning worship.
I would like dinosaurs, gorillas, airplanes, people, robots, and that’s all I really want.

While he’s making his list and checking it twice, Santa Claus made time to visit his favorite newspaper staff during his busiest season. Santa visited with Sun reporter Nikki Rowell to discuss all things Christmas while he was out taking a sleigh and reindeer test drive before Christmas Eve.
After love, marriage, baby carriages and such, some couples are renewing their vows—to volunteer. Two sets of married retirees from Ridgeland are spending their spare time helping out at Methodist Rehabilitation Center (MRC).
