The Former site of the Regency Inn, across South Greymont Street near the Mississippi Fairgrounds in Downtown Jackson immediately west of Interstate 55, is now under demolition, as existing buildings are currently in the process of being demolished.
The Former Regency Inn, it closed around 2013 and became an office location for the Jackson State University E-Center around 2016, where it was located in Jackson until closing around 2021.
It had remained vacant from that time until this year, 2025, when it was declared ready for demolition by the City of Jackson, in 2024 or 2025.
Now, in its former location across the street from the Mississippi Trade Mart and the Mississippi Colessium and the Mississippi Fairgrounds, it is being demolished to clear the grounds for some other developments or other land uses.
