Plans are being made for the merger of two long-time American Cancer Society events. The Swing & Serve For a Cure, which will take place over two days, September 20 and 21, at Reunion Golf and Country Club, combines the Brunson Memorial Golf Tournament and the American Cancer Society Tennis Classic. “We’re excited to partner with Reunion Golf and Country Club to bring these two American Cancer Society events together and raise the critical funds for the fight against cancer, all while having a wonderful time outdoors,” said Rachael Keyes, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society.  The golf event, a four-man scramble, will take place September 21 beginning at 1 p.m. All players must register by September 14 at acsengage.org/swingandserve. The tennis event, a men’s and women’s round-robin doubles tournament, will be September 20, at Reunion’s tennis courts beginning at 2 p.m. Participants should register individually at acsengage.org/-swingandserve or contact Rachael.Keyes@cancer.org. Planning the event are (from left) Lori Rogillio, Vicki Carroll, Tony Bahou, Cassidy Turnage, Shelby Taylor, Trey Brunson, Cecil Brunson, Becky Conley, and Michael Artman. Not pictured: Delaney Taylor, Kelsey Carroll, Samantha Mulligan, Betty Ann Foster, Sloane Blair, Mindy Collins and Claire Sims.
