Madison police are still investigating a fatal accident that occurred recently along Mississippi 463.
Jack Harper and Robert Lenoir were killed in a multiple-vehicle accident on Highway 463 near Fairfield Drive in Madison.
The incident occurred around 2:34 p.m., when the driver of a Chevy pick-up veered into the east-bound lane, striking several motorcyclists, according to a news release.
Harper and Lenoir were pronounced dead on the scene by officials with the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
Another motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for treatment. The other rider sustained minor injuries and was not transported from the scene of the collision, the news release states.
The cause of the accident was still being investigated. Check the Sun’s Web site later for further investigation.
