Resident arrested for stealing water former mayoral candidate

Jessie Jones, who was arrested by the Jackson Police Department (JPD) on August 5 in connection with stealing water from the city, ran for Jackson mayor in 2017.

The 37-year-old received 52 votes, or 0.15 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary that year, according to the Hinds County website.
