Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area kicked off their 40th anniversary year by celebrating its donors, volunteers and homeowners with an appreciation luncheon at First Baptist Church of Jackson.
A nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing in Hinds, Rankin, and Madison counties. Since 1986, HFHMCA has built and rehabilitated more than 660 homes, partnering with low-income families to provide safe, affordable, and environmentally responsible housing. Their mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope, envisioning a Mississippi Capital Area where everyone has a decent place to live.
Through volunteer labor and donations, HFHMCA constructs homes that are sold to partner families at zero-interest mortgages, empowering them with the stability and independence of homeownership. Attending the event were (from left) Candi Crutchfield, Laura Cole, and Camechie Beavers.
