WHEN: The lane closure is planned for Thursday, March 6, at 8 p.m. Traffic is expected to be reduced to one lane for the remainder of 2025. (updated)
WHERE: The outside lane of the I-20 eastbound to I-55 northbound flyover bridge in Jackson.
WHY: The repair work is part of a larger preservation project that includes jacking and structural repairs, epoxy injection and installation of joint seals on the flyover bridge, in addition to the hydro-demolition and overlay of the bridge decks on I-55 over the Pearl River.
HOW: Crews will also swap traffic on I-55 northbound over the Pearl River tonight, March 6, beginning at 8 p.m. The southbound swap will take place at the same time on Friday, March 7.
