Community Animal Rescue & Adoption (CARA) will host its 15th Annual Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park at Mayes Lake off Lakeland Drive. The event will include food, live music, pet parade and pet contest, children’s carnival, silent auction, K-9 demos, Blessing of Animals Ceremony and more. The entire family, including dogs on a secure leash are welcomed. Entrance fee is monetary or dog food donation. The event benefits the day-to-day care operation of the CARA Shelter at 960 N Flag Chapel Road in Jackson.
