The suspect, along with the three victims of Saturday’s triple homicide in Indianola have been identified.
Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton identified the victims as Steve Scott, 76, Sarah Scott, 73 and Vanessa Cassandra Hollins, 65, all of Indianola.
Alton Williams, 36, of Indianola, the grandson of two of the victims, was arrested shortly after officers arrived at the Janet Davis Drive home after multiple neighbors called 911 after hearing gunshots.
Two of the victims were discovered by responding officers outside of a residence in the 200 block of Janet Davis Drive shortly after the 911 calls, which were placed at around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The third victim was discovered later inside the residence.
Officers found Williams sitting in a vehicle nearby, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Williams is currently being held in the Sunflower County jail.
