Our consumers are affected every day by a host of things and we believe we are called to facilitate positive relationships between them and public assistance. We have focused on improving the stigma associated with obtaining mental health services and receiving assistance through givebacks and tackling challenges by creating strategies. We have worked to enhance the narrative through press releases, programs, radio interviews and television interviews.
These opportunities to share afforded us the chance to highlight positive stories about our innovative programs offered here at CCI while enhancing the image of our consumers. When it comes to addressing the image of community and consumers, we ensure what we do matters by producing positive outcomes. As the cost of goods and services rise and we continue to overcome in our current climate, our commitment expands to ensure the needs of our communities are met by responding to ongoing challenges.
We take pride in our mission and our accomplishments. For many years CCI has been dedicated to implementing programs that impact families in a positive way and therefore providing stability to both families and households.
As we all continue to adapt to situations that may arise in our lives regarding the pandemic, we remain steadfast in fulfilling our mission here at Catholic Charities of being a visible sign of Christ’s love. It is our pleasure to do this through resilience, compassion, and perseverance.
At Catholic Charities it is invigorating to be surrounded by a team of genuine and dedicated staff who support its mission each and every day and who believes in the work of CCI. Recently, several team members shared their thoughts on what it meant to do the work of Catholic Charities. Listen to the love and support in the statements provided by these enthusiastic team of leaders.
Seeing the Homeless Veteran being helped to find a home and a job. A child finding refuge in the US from war or a victim of human trafficking placed safely with our Foster Families. The Child being Adopted by a loving Family. A pregnant woman getting help to overcome her addiction and giving birth to a healthy child. Knowing that a Domestic Violence Survivor can now live a happy adjusted life.
At Catholic Charities this is what makes the job a pleasure every day, 365 days of the year.

It means being a part of the mission of Catholic Charities which is to be a visible sign of Christ’s love. It’s helping people find their value and worth through the work we do at Catholic Charities. It’s coming together to provide a safe place and loving care to all who need it.
My passion is working with mothers in addiction to find their identity and worth in a life of recovery. It’s working with mothers and their children to break trauma cycles and generational curses through learning that there is an opportunity for a life of recovery. It’s loving on the children who come with their mothers into treatment and providing them with a safe, nurturing environment to grow.

Catholic Charities Inc. has had a profound impact on my life as an individual, a leader, and a professional. Catholic Charities, Inc. embodies the meaning of Servant Leadership at its very core; fortified with a sound culture and far-reaching acts of love, kindness, and service.
I have been blessed beyond measure to be a part of this truly spirited, compassionate, altruistic, and results-based charitable organization that visibly exemplifies the “Love of Christ” in every aspect of our operation.
Jacqueline Haynes Director of Social Services
Doing the work of Catholic Charities means being and doing something bigger than myself. Serving others is my greatest passion and every day I get to do just that. Catholic Charities affords me the opportunity to encourage, motivate, and advocate for the children and families I serve. It’s an extreme honor and joy to be a visible sign of Christ’s love!

“Everyone can be great, because everyone can serve.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
I find it equally valuable to give back to our community as much as possible. Being active in my local church allows me to serve diverse populations. On a weekly basis, I participate in activities to distribute food to impoverished neighborhoods, share my experiences to children who are facing challenges, involve myself in community service, advocate for mental health and assist with social work efforts.
Helping to fulfill the mission of Catholic Charities allows me to oversee a community program and have the opportunity to lead, train and equip others. My reward comes from encountering people from all walks of life, utilizing a strengths-based process to identify how consumers overcome challenges and assisting others with developing a roadmap to reach their goals.

The work of Catholic Charities means doing ministry beyond the four walls. It also, means helping individuals and families heal, mending families whether through reunification or adoption, addressing concerns of others and protecting children from harm, and educating others on the work that is being done.
Melody Smith Adoption and Therapeutic Foster Care Program Director
Working for Catholic Charities means having the ability to perform God’s will day after day in numerous capacities. The daily tasks of working with the refugee population can be challenging, however, witnessing unaccompanied youth achieve their goals after fleeing unsafe lands are always gratifying. I would not have had the opportunity to positively impact refugee lives if it were not for Catholic Charities. For that reason, I am forever grateful for the work offered to our international neighbors through this agency.
Ebonye’ Debose-Moore Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program Director
What the work of Catholic Charities means to me is to be a visible sign of Christ’s Love.
Knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life. Doing the work of Catholic Charities when I’ve helped individuals/families in need to get back to a stable point in their life.
