Spring Forward. New Beginnings. Fresh Starts. These are all phrases associated with springtime. What a wonderful time of the year when we see new growth and new life blossom all around us. For Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We celebrate our Risen Savior and the hope He gives to us. It has been said that a person can live without a lot of things, but a person cannot live very long or very well without HOPE. What do hope and JoyCARE have in common? Please continue reading to find out!
Do you know someone who is currently having a hard time performing basic day to day tasks of living? Maybe they have been isolated for the past two years due to the virus and have declined due to a lack of social interaction with others. Maybe you know someone who has suffered a physical decline and needs a little more help and encouragement with their walking and mobility. It could be that you know someone who has declined recently with their mental processing and thinking skills which has led to increased difficulty with simple home management tasks such as paying bills, light cooking, and laundry tasks. You may know someone currently residing in a senior living facility who feels alone, isolated, and in need of some extra attention. Last, but not least, you may know someone who seems to be living without anything to look forward to and without hope that tomorrow could be better than today. If any of these situations sound familiar, please know there is help, and there is hope. Let me share about a service that was created to provide help and hope for those in need of a professional, caring, individualized approach to home care.
JoyCARE, Inc. is a service that I started many years ago. We serve primarily senior adults and strive to enhance their lives through an individualized approach to care.
I am a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist with more than fifteen years of experience treating the geriatric population. Upon graduation from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, I began my career at Methodist Rehabilitation Center where I gained experience treating victims of strokes and brain injuries, orthopedic surgery cases with emphasis on hip and knee replacements, amputees, and clients with generalized weakness. Following my tenure at MRC, I found my true passion caring for the geriatric population in home and various assisted living facilities.
