Mary Beverly Noble, 80, from Flowood, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 11, 2024. The daughter of Helen Eudy Sugg and Amos Watson Sugg Jr, she was born January 23, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary Beverly leaves behind her husband Ed Davis Noble Jr, sister Ginga Sugg Woods (Jimmy) of Olive Branch, MS, three sons; Thomas Harvey (Heather) of Portland, OR, Amos Harvey (Daisy) of Water Valley, MS, John Harvey (Sara) of Springhill, TN, and daughter Mary Helen Harvey (Will) of St. Simons Island, nephew Jay Woods (Mary Jo) Jackson, MS, niece Polly Wardlaw (Brett) Olive Branch, MS along with her grandchildren, Gus Harvey, Beau Harvey, Theo Harvey, Amos Henry Harvey, Booker Harvey, Graham Harvey, Bella Harvey, Briggs Harvey, Annie Burdell, and Thomas Burdell.
Mary Beverly grew up in Eupora, Mississippi and graduated valedictorian of Eupora High School and graduated from MSCW (now MUW) with honors majoring in English and Journalism. She taught English at S.D. Lee High School in Columbus, MS and later had many professional endeavors including interior design and business administration.
Later in life, upon moving to Jackson, Mississippi she continued her professional career as business administrator for a several Jackson businesses/entities, including St Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral (12 years), Lakeland Development Corporation (11 years) until retirement. Mary Beverly also had a major part in helping with the development of Dogwood Place neighborhood in Flowood, Rankin County.
Mary Beverly’s fortitude and loving nature was an inspiration to her family and friends. She was an amazing cook, organizer, decorator, and excellent singer when at St. Andrews Cathedral. She loved to travel and loved to watch and root for Ole Miss football, basketball, and baseball. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and wife.
Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she tirelessly doted on and supported them, and their endeavors.
Funeral services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Friday, Jan. 19 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Rev. David Elliot will officiate the services, and burial will follow at Eupora, Mississippi Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Harvey, Gus Harvey, Amos Harvey, Amos Henry Harvey, John Harvey, and Graham Harvey.
