We all learn it. Reading. Writing. Arithmetic. The essentials of a solid education.
But not everyone learns the essentials of managing money. Thankfully, that’s changing; a lot more schools offer financial education these days. But there’s a great need to help more people, including adults of all ages, build financial confidence.
According to the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Retail Banking Advice Satisfaction Study, 59% of respondents expected banks to improve their financial health. But nearly two-thirds (62%) couldn’t remember receiving any financial advice from their bank over the past year.
Sure, there’s plenty of financial advice online. What’s often missing, though, is the personal connection – a financial pro who will take time to listen to someone’s unique goals, review their finances, and help them build a roadmap toward reaching those goals.
That’s where Regions Bank can make a difference. April is Financial Literacy Month, and we’re taking this opportunity to help more people recognize the financial guidance that’s readily available. It’s a back-to-basics approach connecting local bankers with local consumers and small businesses, all with the goal of empowering more people to build financial success.
Regions Greenprint Planning
To complement the free advice, we have at www.regions.com/nextstep, we’re leaning into a service called Regions Greenprint® planning. This is a personalized, no-cost plan designed by individual consumers or small-business owners, working with a Regions banker, to focus on the goals they set. Along the way, Regions provides personalized guidance, digital and in-person touchpoints, smart product solutions, and more.
We’ve already seen this relationship-based approach produce powerful results. And we’re not just doing this for Financial Literacy Month. This is an option that’s available year-round.
Free Financial Webinars – How to Be Confident With MoneySM
At the same time, new webinars debuting as part of Regions’ celebration of Financial Literacy Month will focus on how to develop a healthy relationship with money and what actions people can take to reach their goals.
The webinars are part of Regions Next Step®, the bank’s financial wellness platform that’s available to anyone, regardless of whether they have a Regions account. The webinars – titled “How to Be Confident With Money” – feature Investopedia Editor-in-Chief Caleb Silver alongside Hilarey Gould, editorial director of The Balance.
Webinars are free and open to the public at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 20 and Saturday, April 27. Register now by following this link: www.regions.com/next-step/next-step-webinars
We believe everyone should have a chance to build financial confidence. And here locally, we’re helping people get started with some extra help. From now through May 5, any new customer who opens a new checking account at one of Regions’ Metro Jackson locations after attending one of our webinars will be eligible for a bonus offer upon meeting requirements once the account is opened. Your nearest local branch can share additional details.
We believe the time for building financial confidence is now. Our experience shows it’s often not about how much or how little you have to start with. It’s how you manage what you have available.
We hope to earn the opportunity to help you take your own next step.
