Dr. Nashlie Sephus, Tech Evangelist for Amazon AI and Founder/CEO of The Bean Path, is a nationally recognized expert on Artificial Intelligence spoke to our club on August 15, 2023.
Sephus help found a company that was sold to Amazon for multiple millions. The technology uses AI to recognize products. It's now part of the Amazon app. You can click on the camera icon in the Amazon app and point your camera at any product and Amazon will find the product so you can order it.
Sephus also owns 22 acres and eight buildings directly southwest of downtown Jackson near the train station at Amite and Gallatin which she hopes to turn into a tech development park where tech entrepreneurs can come together and live and work.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the latest hot tech trend to emerge and in the past month or so has been in both business headlines and the subject of congressional hearings. Dr. Sephus also talked about the Beanpath and Makerspace in Jackson, that she has developed.
