Mr. and Mrs. Kevin William Armstrong of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Lane Elizabeth Armstrong, to Sean Cole O’Donnell of Franklin, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wayne Wilbur Scoville and the late Ronald James Cockayne Sr. of Jackson, and the late Virginia Watts Webb of Brandon and the late William Gurney Armstrong of Birmingham.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sean Charles O’Donnell of Franklin. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur Crews of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh John O’Donnell of Nashville.
Miss Armstrong is a 2018 graduate of Hartfield Academy. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated summa cum laude in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree majoring in educational psychology and minoring in Spanish. While at MSU, she was an active member of Chi Omega sorority, Alumni Delegates, and director of the Brickfire Project Mentoring Program. She is currently pursuing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling at Lipscomb University in Nashville, and is expected to graduate in December of 2024.
O’Donnell is a 2017 graduate of Franklin High School. He attended Mississippi State University and graduated summa cum laude in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree with a major in biological sciences. While at MSU, he was an active member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, a College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador, and director of the Brickfire Mentoring Program. He is currently a registered nurse on the cardiac step-down unit at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.
The couple will exchange vows on August 3 at Fondren Church, with a reception to follow at Reunion Golf and Country Club.
