Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Herbert announce the engagement of their daughter, Allie Ridings Herbert, to Stewart Cole Swayze Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Swayze.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sylvia Capps and the late Glenn Capps of Madison, Tenn. and Mr. and Mrs. David Herbert of Nashville.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Watts and Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Swayze, all of Jackson.
Miss Herbert is a 2016 graduate of Franklin Road Academy in Franklin, Tenn. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. In 2020, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the school of journalism in integrated marketing. She is currently associated with Tend-Talent Partners in Nashville.
Swayze is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He was rush chairman and vice president of membership for his fraternity. In 2021, he graduated with a master’s of accounting and is currently associated with Ernst and Young in Nashville.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, October 14, at St. George’s Episcopal Church with a reception to follow at Richland Country Club.
