Post Oak neighborhood in Madison is currently undergoing construction and will be occupied with crews for at least the next two weeks. The crews are finishing milling and paving Live Oak Drive, as well as doing gutter work.
“Its going to take a little longer to do the curb repairs over there because the soil isn’t as good,” explained Dexter Shelby, the Assistant Public Works Administrator for Madison.
The city’s road plan consists of repaving North Place Subdivision, Post Oak Place Subdivision, Annandale Parkway, and Wind Dance Subdivision. There is also the on‐going Hoy Road Improvement and Multi‐Use Path Project, an 18-month Project with estimated completion date in Spring of 2021.
The road plan also includes citywide locations for small in‐place patching and cold milling. This will be done through patching and maintenance work for those streets not on the current paving list.
According to Shelby, the city is currently constructing in the east side of the Post Oak neighborhood and will continue to the other side after the work is complete.
