Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gary Dye of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura LeAnn, to Andrew Harper Hogin, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Humphreys and the late Samuel Harper Hogin, all of Nashville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Spence M. Dye and the late Mr. Dye of Jackson, and the late Edward Dewey Lawrence and late Dorothy Lawrence Lonson, both of Biloxi. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hogin of Bruceton, Tenn. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Weaver of Nashville.
Miss Dye is a 2009 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interior design in 2013. While at MSU, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is a senior designer at Barry Dixon, Inc. in Warrenton, Va.
Hogin is a 2004 graduate of Brentwood Academy. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. While at UT, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity where he served as president. He is deputy chief of Staff for Senator Bill Hagerty in Washington, D. C.
The couple will exchange vows October 16 at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson with a reception following at the home of the bride on Lake Cavalier in Madison.
After the wedding, the couple will reside in Washington, D. C.
