Nancy Morse Parkes of Jackson announces the engagement of her daughter Sarah Frances Parkes to Bobby Brent Wilkerson, son of Dr. and Mrs. Bobby Sharp Wilkerson of Ridgeland.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Daniel Wilkinson Morse and the late Mr. Morse of Jackson, and Mrs. Richard Arthur Parkes and the late Mr. Parkes of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Miss Parkes is a lifelong member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral. She was graduated from Jackson Academy in 2011. She attended the University of Mississippi where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2014. At Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. Miss Parkes was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi in 2012. After graduating from Ole Miss, she attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Nursing where she received a bachelor’s degree in 2017. Miss Parkes is currently a critical care registered nurse.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wayne Pearson of Brandon and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Wilkerson of Lake.
Wilkerson is a 2008 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He was graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2012 and received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2015. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon. Wilkerson is a registered nurse in the neuroscience intensive care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
The couple plans to exchange vows on June 12 at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral with a reception to follow at The South.
They will make their home in Flowood.
