Born August 25, 1928 to Hoyt and Faye Spier in Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Smith Jr.; her daughter, Patricia Smith Wideman; and Patricia’s two daughters.
She is survived by daughter, Sandra S. (Matt) Holleman; grandchildren, Matthew (Lesley) Holleman IV and Margaret Britton (Mike) McDermott; and four great grandchildren. The family acknowledges Gloria Torrey as a special friend for her support and commitment to Marie’s care.
