Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Douglas Bateman III of Columbus announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Mixson Bateman, to Kyle Richmond Humphreys, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Lee Humphreys of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Augustus Story of Shelby, N.C., and the late Dr. Story and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Douglas Bateman Jr. of Columbus.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Franklin Adrian Humphreys of Brandon and the late Dr. Humphreys and Dr. and Mrs. Durward Stanley Hartness Jr. of Jackson.
Miss Bateman is a 2015 graduate of Heritage Academy in Columbus. She attended the University of Mississippi graduating cum laude in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2022. At Ole Miss she was a member of Chi Omega fraternity. She completed the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and is currently an acute care pharmacist at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
Humphreys is a 2015 graduate of Madison Central High School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceuticals and a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2022. At Ole Miss he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He is currently completing a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, October 14 at Main Street Presbyterian Church in Columbus.
