Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore Buchanan III of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah McKinley Buchanan, to Daniel Stephen Valentine of Orlando.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Hamrick Ellis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore Buchanan Jr., all of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stephen Valentine of Orlando. He is the grandson of Mrs. Thomas Raymond Valentine and the late Mr. Valentine of Nanuet, N.Y., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Monaco of Jersey City, N.J.
Miss Buchanan is a 2016 graduate of Jackson Academy. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2020 with a bachelor of accountancy. While at MSU, she was an active member of Chi Omega sorority. In 2021, she graduated from Mississippi College with a master of accountancy. She is currently a CPA at Merit Energy in Dallas.
Valentine is a 2016 graduate of Freedom High School. He graduated in 2020 from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy. He is currently a CPA at Forvis Mazars in Dallas.
The couple will exchange vows on May 17 at First Baptist Church of Jackson with a reception to follow at the Country Club of Jackson. After the wedding, they will make their home in Plano, Texas.
