Dr. Elizabeth Hall Cousins Buckner of Boston announces the engagement of her daughter, Mila Ann Buckner, to Granville Napier Engle.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Philip Buckner and the late Mrs. Buckner, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Cousins of Bethesda. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Billy Burton Bowman of Vicksburg and the late Michael Thomas Engle Jr. of Jackson. He is the grandson of the late Rev. and Mrs. Michael Engle of Greenwood, the late Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Mills and the late Jewell Hilton Campbell, all of Brookhaven.
Miss Buckner is a 2007 graduate of Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Boston. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Richmond in 2011. At Richmond, she was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Miss Buckner went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at the University of San Francisco School of Law. She currently lives in New York City and works for a renewable energy company.
Engle is a 1999 graduate of Saint Aloysius High School in Vicksburg. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Engle went on to earn a master’s degree in finance as well as an MBA from New York University. He currently lives in New York City and works in private equity.
The couple will exchange vows on November 22 at Trinity Church in Boston with a reception to follow at the Boston Public Library.
