Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Macdonald Burgess of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Abigail Burgess, to Charles Kistner Pringle III, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Kistner Pringle Jr. of Ridgeland.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Millard F. Burgess of Jackson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James G. Glover of Clarksdale.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kistner Pringle of Biloxi, Mrs. Frederick C. Schaeffer Sr. of Memphis, and the late Mr. Schaeffer.
Miss Burgess is a 2014 graduate of Germantown High School in Madison. She attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Belhaven University in 2019. She was an active member of Chi Omega sorority at the University of Arkansas. She is a Registered Nurse Case Manager at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
A 2012 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School, Pringle received a degree in banking and managerial finance from the University of Mississippi in 2016. He was an active member of Sigma Nu fraternity at Ole Miss. He is a senior manager with Frontline Education in Memphis.
The couple will exchange vows on October 14 at 4:30 p.m. at Lake Martin, Ala.
