Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Daigle of Nashville announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Elizabeth Daigle, to Lewis Anderson Watt Jr.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gladys Bourgeois and Aubrey Bourgeois of Lafayette, La. and Mary Daigle and the late Donald Daigle of Pierre Part, La.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Anderson Watt of Ridgeland. He is the grandson of Mrs. Thomas Richard Moyle III of Ridgeland and the late Mr. Moyle, Mr. and Mrs. John Wayne Forrester of Opelika, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Watt of Montgomery.
Miss Daigle, a 2016 graduate of Father Ryan High School, graduated from Mississippi State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural life sciences with a focus in environmental economics and management. While at Mississippi State, she was an active member of Tri Delta. She received her master’s degree in science for sustainability and an MBA from Lipscomb University in 2023. She is currently associated with Johnston & Murphy.
Watt is a 2017 graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. He attended Mississippi State University where he graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During his time at State, he was the head manager for the men’s basketball program. He received his MBA from Millsaps College in 2022 and is currently associated with Trustmark National Bank.
The couple will exchange vows on April 26 at Union Station in Nashville.
