Mr. and Mrs. Justyn Bennett Dixon of Shreveport announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Reid Dixon, to Barron Charles Mayfield of Dallas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Patricia Huessner Evans and the late Leslie Wayne Evans of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. John Bennett Dixon of Madison
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Scot Lewis Mayfield of Dallas. He is the grandson of Mr. And Mrs. Edwin Hughen Barron of Bryan, Dr. Wallace Edmond Davis and the late Patsy Davis of Salado, and the late Charles Edmond Mayfield of Lubbock.
Miss Dixon is a 2016 graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy. She graduated Cum Laude from the Sally McDonald Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi in 2020. While at Ole Miss, she was academic excellence chair of Kappa Delta sorority, deputy chief of staff for the Associated Student Government, and an Ole Miss Student Ambassador. She was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi in 2017. Miss Dixon received her master’s degree in accountancy and data analytics from Ole Miss in 2021 and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is currently a portfolio accounting analyst with Sixth Street Partners in Dallas.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2016 graduate of Lubbock High School. He graduated Cum Laude from the Trent Lott Leadership Institute at the University of Mississippi in 2020. While at Ole Miss, he was Associated Student Body President, secretary of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and an Ole Miss Student Ambassador. He is with Phaidon International in Dallas as a senior consultant.
The couple will exchange vows on March 8 at the Paris-Yates Chapel in Oxford with a reception to follow at The Lyric.
