Mr. and Mrs. Graham Forte of Destin announce the engagement of their daughter, Isla Gabrielle Forte, to Jonathan Calhoun Boone of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Kooser of Fort Walton Beach and Sheena Forte of Charleston, S.C. and the late Robert Forte, and Mr. and Mrs. Pompeo Gallace of Largo, Fla.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Lee Boone of Madison. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Girault Weiler Jones of Grenada and Mr. and Mrs. William Roy Boone of Ridgeland.
Miss Forte is a 2017 graduate of Niceville High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2021 and her master’s degree in elementary education from Florida State University in 2022. She is currently a first grade teacher at Van R. Butler Elementary in Santa Rosa Beach.
Boone is a 2017 graduate of Germantown High School. He attended Mississippi State University and graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While at MSU, he was president of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is currently the recreational manager at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and assistant director of the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic.
The couple will exchange vows on October 19 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach with the reception to follow on The Grand Lawn.
