Milla Windham Green of Tuscaloosa, and Wilson Franklin Green and Amanda Schilling Adams of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Olivia Read Green, to James Hays Dubberly, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brooks Dubberly of Jackson.
Miss Green is the granddaughter of Gail Read Windham and the late William Rodney Windham of Tuscaloosa, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ralph Green of Birmingham.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. James Clay Hays of Jackson and Leland, and the late Mrs. Preston Myers Hays of Jackson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Gundy Dubberly of Greenville and Oxford.
The bride-elect is a sales representative at Pfizer in New York. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2021. At age 14, Miss Green relocated from Tuscaloosa to New York to dance at American Ballet Theatre where she routinely performed at the Metropolitan Opera House and the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. She is an alumna of Professional Children’s School on the Upper West Side.
Dubberly is a financial analyst at New York-Presbyterian. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi in 2021. While at Ole Miss, he served as Derby Days chair for Sigma Chi fraternity and participated in RUF. He received a Master of Health Administration from Columbia University in 2024. He is an alumnus of Jackson Preparatory School.
The couple will exchange nuptials at Christ Episcopal Church in Tuscaloosa on October 25. The Rev. Dr. Catherine Collier will officiate. A reception will follow at the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion. They will make their home in Brooklyn Heights.
