Kristi Wade Jones of Vaughan and Mr. and Mrs. Blake Tyler Jones of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Tyler Brooke Jones, to Jacob Thomas Clarke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Alan Clarke of Clinton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William Robert Wade of Barlett, Tenn., the late Linda Jones Moore of Vaughan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Larry Major Jones of Cordova, Tenn. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lumbley Clarke of Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Dale Hutchison of Brandon.
Miss Jones is a 2016 graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts, a residential high school, where she studied vocal performance. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2020 from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was an active member of Phi Mu sorority. Miss Jones continued her education at Mississippi State University where she obtained a Master of Public Policy and Administration in 2022. She currently works as a lobbyist for The Clay Firm, a legislative and government relations consulting firm in Jackson.
Clarke is a 2017 graduate of Clinton High School. He graduated from Belhaven University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s in business administration in 2021, and he earned his Master of Business Administration from Belhaven in 2024. He was a member of the university’s golf team during his undergraduate career. Clarke is the owner and broker of NuWay Realty, a Central Mississippi real estate company.
The couple will exchange vows on August 2 at Fondren Church in Jackson with a reception to follow at Old Capitol Inn.
