The engagement of Sidney Elaine Lampton, daughter of Mrs. Dunnica Ott Lampton and the late Mr. Lampton, to Norman Lee Morris III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Joseph Barone of Brandon and the late Dr. Norman Lee Morris Jr. of Biloxi is announced by the bride’s mother.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Templeton Mitchell and the late Royal Sidney Hood Jr. of Hazlehurst, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Ford Lampton of Osyka.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delaine Wilkes Beach and the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lee Morris Sr. of Gulfport.
Miss Lampton is a 2012 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. In 2013, Miss Lampton was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi. In the spring of 2016, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi as a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. While at Ole Miss, she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society and was an active member of the Chi Omega fraternity, serving as personnel chair. In 2019, she received her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School. Miss Lampton is currently an associate attorney at Watkins & Eager, PLLC in Jackson.
Morris is a 2007 graduate of Kirk Academy in Grenada. In the spring of 2012, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi as a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. While at Ole Miss, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In 2016, he received his Master of Business Administration from Millsaps College. In 2021, he received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Morris is currently a special assistant attorney general at the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
The couple will exchange vows on June 7 at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
