Mr. and Mrs. Barry Lyn Crain of Jackson and James Theodore Morris III of Lake St. Louis, Mo. announce the engagement of their daughter, Gabrielle Elizabeth Morris, to Peyton Joel Greenwood, son of Tara Greenwood of Madison and Joel Greenwood of Pearl.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jeanette Crain of Columbia and James Theodore Morris II and the late Mrs. Morris of Lake St. Louis and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Brennan of Easton, Md. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Charles Rose of Brandon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Crumby of Madison and Mrs. Dwaine Greenwood and the late Mr. Greenwood of Pearl.
Miss Morris is a 2019 graduate of Jackson Academy. She graduated summa cum laude from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in chemistry and society and health. While at Ole Miss, she was an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority serving on the executive board of the Student Alumni Council. She currently attends the University of Mississippi Medical School where she will receive her Doctorate of Medicine in May 2027.
Greenwood is a 2019 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a minor in military science. While at Ole Miss, he was an active member of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and served as an officer in the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was also a cadet in the Army ROTC program. Currently, he is associated with Neel-Schaffer as a civil engineer and serves as a First Lieutenant in the Mississippi Army National Guard.
The couple will exchange vows May 30 at Reunion Golf and Country Club with a reception to follow. After the wedding, they will make their home in Jackson.
