Mr. and Mrs. William Rood Munson of Houston, Texas announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Ann Munson, to Weaver McMillan “Mac” Baird, son of Mr. and Mrs. David McMillan Baird of Brandon.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Joseph Metke Jr. of Nashville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rood Munson of Dallas.
Miss Munson is a 2015 graduate of Episcopal High School in Houston and graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Miss Munson is currently living in Austin where she is associated with Oracle as an account executive.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Joseph “Bo” Weaver of Shreveport and the late Dr. and Mrs. James McKenzie Baird of Brandon.
Baird is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish from the Croft Institute. While at Ole Miss he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Mac is currently living in Austin and is a compliance officer with Samsung in Taylor, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows followed by a reception on June 14 at the Westwood Country Club in Austin.
