Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gordon Rose of Duck Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Claire Rose, to Benjamin Edward Bell of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lynn Rose of Duck Hill and Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Smith III of Mendenhall.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Chuck) Ross Bell Jr. of Madison. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ross Bell of Monroe and the late Rose Cefalu Allison of Vicksburg.
Miss Rose is a 2018 graduate of Kirk Academy. She received her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at the University of Mississippi, where she graduated with summa cum laude honors in 2022. While at Ole Miss, she was a member of the track and cross country teams and active with Campus Outreach and the American Medical Women's Association. She will begin medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the fall of 2023.
Bell is a 2018 graduate of Germantown High School. He will be graduating with honors from Mississippi State University in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. While at Mississippi State, he was a member of the 2019 College World Series baseball team. He was also an active member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He has accepted a job with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg and will begin working this June.
The couple will exchange vows on June 3 at First Baptist Church in Grenada with a reception to follow on the town square at First & Green.
