Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Swayze announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Victoria Swayze, to Luke Enterkin Whitaker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Whitaker of Natchez.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Watts and Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Swayze, all of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Warren Enterkin and the late Barbara Enterkin of Ferriday, La. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Whitaker of Woodville.
Miss Swayze is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. In 2019, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is currently a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s of Mississippi.
Whitaker is a 2011 graduate of Cathedral Catholic School in Natchez. In 2014, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mississippi State University and in 2019, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi Law School. He currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney for Hinds County.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, April 26, at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson with a reception to follow at The Country Club of Jackson.
