Lauren Elizabeth Waggener, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thomas Waggener of Madison and Jeffery Lawrence Knight, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dicky Barton Knight of Livingston, Ala. announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lafayette Cannon Jr. of Canton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Wendell Waggener Jr. of Madison.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Louis Strength and the late Mr. Strength of Enterprise and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Lee Knight of Livingston.
Miss Waggener graduated from Madison Central High School with honors in 2004. She also graduated cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in social work.
Knight graduated from Sumter Academy in York, Ala. in 2000. He studied at Shelton State College in Tuscaloosa.
The couple will exchange vows on October 11 at Lake Castle in Madison with dinner and dancing to follow. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City.
