Dr. and Mrs. Robert Roy Ward Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Kennedy Ward, to James William Hand of Madison. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Howell Hand of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roy Ward of Jackson, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Tarbutton of Madison.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mary Hollingsworth Owen and the late Sidney Smith Owen Jr. of Kosciusko and the late Anne Little Hand and Dr. William Fitzgerald Hand Jr.
Miss Ward is a 2014 graduate of Madison Central High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and kinesiology. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2021 and is currently associated with Elite Physical Therapy.
Hand is a 2010 graduate of Jackson Academy. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2018 from Nova Southeastern University and is also currently associated with Elite Physical Therapy.
The couple will exchange vows on May 24 at First Baptist Church Jackson. After the wedding, they will be at home in Madison.
