Missy Barnett Wyatt and Steven Mark Wyatt announce the engagement of their daughter, Madeline Rae Wyatt, to James Connor Carmody, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen James Carmody of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert G. Barnett and the late Mr. Barnett of Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles David Wyatt of Greenwood. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Earlyn “Noonie” Carmody and the late James E. Carmody Jr. of Madison and the late Eva Conn Brister and Lowery Lee Brister of Crystal Springs.
Miss Wyatt is a 2015 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of Mississippi and was an active member of Chi Omega sorority. Following graduation, she earned a master’s degree in interior architecture and design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She is an interior designer with Annelle Primos and Associates in Jackson.
Carmody is a 2014 graduate of Jackson Academy. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he was an active member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He is an asset manager for an energy services company, Bernhard, in New Orleans.
The couple will exchange vows on May 11 in New Orleans, after which they will make their home in New Orleans.
