Measure to sue Siemens withdrawn

A proposal to sue the firm responsible for a $91 million overhaul of the city of Jackson’s water system fell flat at the February 19 city council meeting.
The council did not vote on a proposal to hire the Gibbs and Travis Law Firm to bring suit against Siemens USA.

Commission wants update on drainage issues

Jackson’s one-percent oversight commission could begin talks next month on how it plans to fund the city’s numerous drainage needs.
Recently, heavy rains caused severe flash flooding across the Northside. Much of the flooding was a result of the city’s aged, overburdened drainage systems.

New Madison County property owners group outlines goals
