The Nation's Weather for Friday, February 18, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A major winter storm will be winding down tomorrow. Snow can
linger in the morning over interior New England and upstate
New York, with rain along the coast. Farther south, a few
flurries may fly from western and west-central Pennsylvania
down through the mountains of West Virginia. As a cold front
slowly moves off the coast, rain can linger for much of the
day from far southeastern Virginia down through eastern
North Carolina. Meanwhile, an Alberta clipper will spread a
swath of snow through North Dakota, Minnesota, northern
Wisconsin and northern Michigan. While an inch or less of
snow is expected to accumulate in North Dakota, the system
will gather strength as it moves east-southeastward.
Therefore, a plowable snow can fall from northern Minnesota
to the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
