The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, March 30, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A wide-reaching and potent storm is expected to produce
severe weather in the lower Mississippi Valley from the
Louisiana coast to southern Illinois, tracking eastward
tomorrow. These thunderstorms can bring flash flooding,
tornadoes, hail and damaging winds to the region. To the
north, rain and thunderstorms can cause flash flooding
across the remainder of Illinois and Indiana, and snow, rain
and ice are anticipated from the northern Plains to the
interior Northeast. Some trailing showers are forecast for
the southern Plains behind the severe weather from Iowa to
Oklahoma, as well as spotty showers in the Rockies. Showers
and mountain snow are also likely along the Pacific
Northwest coast as dry, gusty conditions increase the
likelihood of wildfires in western and southern Texas.
