NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms can cause ponding on streets and highways in
southern Missouri, Arkansas, western Tennessee, southeastern
Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi tomorrow. Farther north,
occasional rain and drizzle will fall in northern Nebraska,
all but northwestern South Dakota, southeastern North
Dakota, western Minnesota and much of Iowa. Snow will
finally come to an end in central and northeastern Colorado,
but roads could still be slippery in the morning. A new
storm arriving in the Pacific Northwest will bring rain to
western Washington state and northwestern Oregon. Although
Rafael will remain well offshore, rough surf and rip
currents will be likely along the entire Gulf coast as
swells spread across the Gulf of Mexico. Another dry day is
expected in the parched Northeast.
