NATIONAL SUMMARY
The Northeast will dry out as a system that brought showers
and storms to the area continues to move offshore tomorrow.
Higher temperatures will return for the latter half of the
holiday weekend as well, leading to pleasant conditions
across the area. Meanwhile, a developing system will bring
showers and afternoon thunderstorms to parts of the Great
Plains, including parts of Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa and
Nebraska. Some storms can turn severe and bring damaging
winds, torrential downpours, hail and even isolated
tornadoes. The Northwest will also continue to have wet
weather, with showers and even some embedded thunderstorms
impacting much of the region. Dry weather will also remain
in place across the Southwest, with gusty conditions causing
