NATIONAL SUMMARY
A large swath of showers will spread from west to east
across the Upper Midwest tomorrow. Spotty afternoon
thunderstorms will rumble in southeastern Arizona, western
New Mexico and the central Florida Peninsula. A morning
shower may dampen the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire
and western Maine. A few showers will begin to move into
western Washington state. Elsewhere across the nation, a
largely dry day is expected. Meanwhile, Fiona will be
accelerating as the hurricane heads toward Atlantic Canada.
Much of the region can expect high winds, flooding rain and
extremely rough seas through Saturday. Power outages are
expected to be widespread. Forecasters will also be keeping
an eye on a budding tropical system moving through the
eastern Caribbean Sea.
