The Nation's Weather for Saturday, October 29, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An offshore storm will bring showers and rough surf to the
Southeast coast tomorrow. Locally heavy rain and embedded
thunderstorms will drench a zone from southeastern Arkansas
and northwestern Mississippi southward to the Gulf Coast.
The rain is needed but is likely to have little impact on
the record-low water levels for the Mississippi River, since
limited rain is forecast to fall farther upstream. Only a
few spotty rain showers and mountain snow showers are
expected in the Northwest. The next significant storm will
move into the region Sunday, with heavy and potentially
flooding rain in western Washington. The rest of the nation
will have a dry and tranquil day tomorrow. Temperatures in
parts of the northern Plains may be more than 10 degrees
above normal.
